We all know people among family and friends who always complain of a migraine headache. I am one such sufferer and I know many others who are suffering .Yes it is that common these days, especially in women.
Migraine is intense throbbing pain generally on one side of your head and you become sensitive to light, sound, heat and every other stress causing factors, be it mental stress or physical stress.
To sum-up in one line, MIGRAINE IS CAUSED BY STRESS – directly or indirectly.
When one is having an episode of Migraine, all one needs is silence, darkness, and chilled environment.
Doctors suggest not to take over the counter painkillers for Migraine. They have specific medicines to combat Migraines. There is no permanent cure for this, only the intensity and frequency can be reduced.
The most common symptoms of Migraine are:
- Intense headache on one side of the head.
- Blurry vision.
- Inability to concentrate.
- Nauseated and Nausea.
- Slurred speech.
For the lucky people who have never experienced a migraine – the pain is so intense that it reminds me of my labour. So the next time some one is having a migraine, please help them have a soothing environment to do the least.
